Sending Files to your Contacts

Click here to see tutorial movie: Raketu File Transfer (how to transfer file using Raketu's Instant Messenger)

File transfers can only be done when both parties are online. Send file either by right click on online contact and from drop down menu select Send File or from opened Raketu Instant Messenger window, click on Send File Icon.

Send File

Once you open Raketu Send File Window click on File button and select file to be sent. After file is selected, click on Send File. Once the receiver accepts the file the progress bar will show progress of the transfer.

Receiving a File from your Contacts

When one of your contacts sends you a file, you are prompted with a Receiving File From [contact name]. Save As - this button allows you to save the file in a different directory than the default directory, and you can also rename the file to anything you prefer. Accept - click this button to proceed with the file transfer to your computer. Cancel - click this to cancel the transfer from the sender.

Default File Locations

The default file locations for sending and receiving files are C:\Program Files\Raketu\recfiles\file name

For both Sending and Receiving files, if you change the file location from the default, your last file send directory and your last file receive directory is remembered by Raketu.
