Plug a microphone/headset into your computer’s sound card or audio ports. After starting Raketu you’ll be prompted to login with your RakID and password. With your RakID, you automatically have a Raketu IM account set up for use simultaneously with Raketu-Raketu voice calls! Next is to familiarize yourself with the Raketu interface and add your contacts.

1. Log in

Use your RakID and password to login to Raketu. If you have forgotten your password or RakID go to the Support page on the Raketu website or contact us directly from the login window. Each time you login any activity in your contact list that requires your attention, such as new contact requests from others, or pending authorizations, will be presented for your response.

2. Your Raketu Options

Go to Tools/Options to set up Raketu the way you want it. There you set up and test your audio devices, turn on Online Voicemail, and set Privacy Options and Multi-Messenger settings. There are many more options that can be set here.

3. Add Contacts

Adding contacts allows you to start communication with your Raketu contacts, like making free Wav-Wav calls. If you know the RakID, Nickname, Name or Email of another Raketu user then click the Add Contacts icon or go to Edit->Add Contact to search. Enter the search info for the contact you want to add in the Search dialogue box and press the search button. Find the correct entry, select and click Add or right click to Add to your contact list. An authorization request will be sent to your contact. When your contact authorizes you, your contact will be set in their contact listing at the same time.

Raketu Home Tab

The Home tab is your starting place for using Raketu. From here you can get to any major feature of Raketu.

Tell Friends about Raketu.

Raketu is brand new. To tell your friends about Raketu so they can use it too, you can use the invitation provided by Raketu if you choose to. It will automatically insert your RakID so your friends can find and add you easily, and it is fully editable so you can personalize it to your style. Go to the Raketu menu item Tools->Invite and choose either by Email or, by Webmail.

Multi-Messenger—Instant Messenger IM

While you are waiting for your first contacts to get back to you why not set up Multi-Messenger so you can use Raketu’s integrated Instant Messenger features using your Yahoo!, MSN, AOL, ICQ, Jabber, Google or Skype accounts* immediately! Go to: Tools-> Multi-Messenger setup. Check the box(s) of messenger of your choice and add ID and password, accept changes. It’s that easy. Raketu will automatically populate all your contacts from each of the IM’s you log into.
