Is my communication secure?
- Raketu's voice communications are inherently relatively secure due to the nature of proprietary encoding and transmission.
- Raketu's instant messenger communications are not currently encrypted, but are secure from the perspective of transmission.
- Raketu's transmission of these communications are purely peer-to-peer, with no server stop-down. This means that the transmissions goes from the originating user directly to the destination user, using a 'direct' path temporarily provided by the 'internet' for each message sent. In this way, in order for someone to read a message for example, they would have to 'sniff' on the exact path you were using for that specific transmission (message) - which is extremely difficult to do.
- Raketu does plan to introduce encryption in an upcoming release and we are working on an encryption module that will be easily added to the Raketu Multi-Messenger, so that you will be able to encrypt IM's between your Yahoo, MSN, AIM, ICQ, Jabber and Google contacts using Multi-Messenger. We will let you know when it is released - it is in testing at the moment.
